Ben Schorr joins the Affinity and Lawyerist team (2025)

Welcome Ben Schorr to the Affinity Consulting team

We are delighted to welcome Ben Schorr to the Affinity Consulting Group and Lawyerist team.

Ben brings decades of legal technology experience and a passion for solving problems and helping people work smarter. His journey in legal technology began at just 19 years old, when he landed an IT position at a Los Angeles law firm, thanks to his father, a legal administrator who created one of the first practice management systems. He went on to lead IT and consulting roles, including a decade as head of information services at a large Honolulu company.

For the past nine years, Ben was a Senior Content Project Manager at Microsoft, helping global audiences get the most out of Microsoft 365, cybersecurity tools, and most recently, Copilot. His work has reached millions of people, literally. The content he led generated over 2 billion page views each year.

Now, Ben brings his world-class expertise in Microsoft products and legal technology to Affinity and Lawyerist. It will help law firms harness the full power of Microsoft 365 and explore how AI can make a real-world impact. As he says: “Companies already have powerful tools, but they don’t always realize it. »

As one of our Innovation Strategists, Ben will work directly with law firms to uncover workflow challenges, explore automation opportunities, and identify areas where AI can make a measurable difference. He will conduct AI readiness assessments, facilitate workshops and training, and serve as a trusted advisor to companies navigating emerging technologies. Whether he’s helping to redesign a process, evaluate a tool, or bring a new solution to life, Ben’s goal is to help clients implement smarter, more sustainable ways of working.

A few things you might not know about Ben:

  • He has competed in several Ironman races (yes, the full race).
  • He experimented with writing content on cybersecurity in the form of short fiction.
  • He created a personalized AI news assistant he named “Walter.”

Clearly, Ben doesn’t do things by halves, and that includes helping law firms work smarter.

Whether it’s reinventing customer education, demystifying AI, or uncovering hidden capabilities in your technology stack, Ben helps businesses get the most out of what they already have.
